Treatment Philosophy

What does Holistic Care mean at Mirror Health?  Lets look at the domains of physical, spiritual, social, and occupational wellbeing

We can then look at our view of medication, therapy and patient driven care

Physical Health

What are your energy inputs and outputs?  In other words, how do you fuel your body, and what do you do with that fuel?  Physical health may not always be entirely within our control, but there are aspects you can improve upon, which will absolutely affect your mental health.

Spiritual

What brings meaning and purpose to your life?  Maintaining a sense of temporary happiness puts you on an endless pursuit of consumption.  This consumption can lead you to feeling depressed and searching.  Understanding your 'why', setting realistic goals, and regaining a sense purpose can transform the way you experience life.

Dr. Hendricks is a Catholic mental health provider but is happy to see all persons, regardless of faith.  Spiritual health does not have to be part of treatment and depends solely on patient's discretion.

Social

Social health!  Our culture is very isolated while still being connected.  Having your "group" is such an important part of wellbeing but is often overlooked.  Recognizing social health as part of holistic care and improving this domain of life can be very impactful.

Occupational

Work is so much a part of who we are and how we spend our time.  Learning strategies to navigate occupational stress is very much apart of mental health care for many people.

Treatment for your goals and with your approach

Some patients want the provider to set goals and treatment, while others have a clear path already in mind. A collaborative approach, based on respect and open dialogue, that meets the patient where they are, is what gets results
